I had heard so many praises about the novel and only after reading it did I understand why this novel is worshiped so much by classic/fiction lovers. I really liked the character of Pip and could sympathize with him when he discovers the truth about the Estella and Mrs. Havisham. The point where Old Joe comes to Pip's rescue when Pip is on the verge of dying is very touching indeed and makes the readers value the importance of guardians in life.

The novel is full of lessons elicited through the story of Pip and his great expectations!
